We’re delighted to share that Angela, a Filipino doctor currently working in the UK, completed the Great West Run Half Marathon on 25th May, raising an incredible £1,146 in support of Children of the Dump.

Angela’s motivation was deeply personal.

“Growing up in the Philippines and visiting the slums of Manila where my dad was raised, I’ve seen what poverty really looks like. It’s not just about money—it’s about having no access to education, support, or a safe place to grow up. That’s why this cause means a lot to me.”

Angela chose to support Children of the Dump because of our work in transforming the lives of vulnerable children in the Philippines—providing access to education, a nurturing environment, and for some, a safe residential home when facing abuse or neglect.

“It’s more than just food or school supplies—it’s about giving kids protection, stability, and the care they need to heal and thrive.”

We are incredibly grateful to Angela for her effort and generosity. Her support will make a real difference—and we promise her donation will be spent wisely across our life-changing projects in Manila.

Thank you, Angela!
