Children’s Celebration and Wellbeing Fund helping every child feel remembered, included and cared for.

Birthdays, Christmas and other special moments matter deeply to the children supported through Mango Tree House and Grapevine Outreach.
These occasions are about much more than gifts. They are about knowing that someone has remembered them. They are about feeling included, valued and cared for.

For many years, sponsors have very kindly given extra birthday and Christmas gifts for their sponsored child. These gifts have always been given with love, and we are truly grateful for the kindness behind them.

However, we also know that not every child has a sponsor, and not every sponsor is able to give extra. We never want any child to feel forgotten simply because their circumstances are different.

After discussion with our ASCF team in Manila, Children of the Dump is introducing the Children’s Celebration and Wellbeing Fund.
The fund will help ASCF celebrate birthdays, Christmas and other special moments in a fairer way, so that all Mango and Grapevine children can be included.
It will also give the team in Manila the flexibility to use support where it is most needed. This may include a simple celebration, shared food, school supplies, hygiene items, educational materials, wellbeing support or other practical help.

Supporters will be invited to give to the fund twice a year, usually once before Christmas and once during the year. Giving is completely optional, and there is no pressure to give more.
We understand that some sponsors may feel sad that they will no longer be giving directly to their own sponsored child in the same way. The kindness behind those gifts has always mattered, and it still does.

Sponsors are still warmly encouraged to send cards, letters or short video messages for birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions. These personal messages are treasured by the children and remain a lovely way to show care, encouragement and friendship.

This change is not about taking anything away. It is about making sure every child is remembered, included and supported in the fairest and kindest way possible.
