Your support for Children of the Dump helps to transform children’s lives through ensuring they get education despite living in poverty on and around the rubbish dumps of Manila in the Philippines.
2021 has been difficult. Even now, all schools remain shut for face-to-face teaching because of COVID. Our local teachers have been amazing and created home learning packs and online classes. This is hard for the children at home in their cramped shacks. They share old and borrowed mobile phones or tablets (local supporters in Manila helped find these) and Wi-Fi coverage is weak. Completing the school year was a challenge. The children are truly inspiring with their efforts and enthusiasm as they continue their education. Most have now moved up a school year, but this support has been expensive, so your help is vital…
