Evanescence’s journey from Grapevine student to graduate and teacher

Evanescence joined the Grapevine Programme as a young girl while her family was facing significant personal and financial challenges.
Despite these difficult circumstances, she showed remarkable determination, worked hard at school and remained committed to her education.
Through Grapevine, and with the kindness of her sponsor, Evanescence received educational assistance, encouragement and guidance. She also participated in activities that helped her develop confidence, discipline, responsibility, social skills and spiritual awareness.
Her dedication was reflected in her consistently good grades and regular inclusion on the school’s honour list.

A wonderful achievement
After many years of perseverance, Evanescence successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in special needs education.
During her work placement, her commitment and ability were quickly recognised. Upon completing her training, she was offered employment as a Special Education Teacher.
Evanescence is now beginning an exciting new chapter as an independent young professional. She plans to continue developing her teaching skills and prepare for her professional licensure examination.
Her long-term hopes are to become financially independent, support her family and build a stable and meaningful future.

Evanescence’s success is first and foremost the result of her own resilience, hard work and determination. However, sponsorship helped provide the educational opportunities, stability and encouragement she needed along the way.
