This month the children were off to a surprise trip and the ASCF Staff are recognized

This month the children were off to a surprise trip….and there was a chance to say thank you to the staff in Manila.

What fun!
Mango Children were treated to a visit to the Zoo in Manila recently by 2 of our local supporters, Toby, and Lori. Everyone spent a day learning about wild animals and interacting with them. Some children, rather gingerly, even helped out at feeding time. Of course no day out is complete without fried chicken, and everyone tucked in at human feeding time.

But it’s not just the children who got a treat. The Chair of our partners in Manila, Sarah, along with the Board of ASCF in Manila, organised the first Staff Appreciation Day to say thank you to the teachers, social workers and all the house, kitchen, and support staff. There is always so much going on, both planned and unexpected, for everyone to react to. It is not always easy. Each of these special and amazing people give their all to the constantly changing needs of the school and the children.
