Charity Success Story - Grapevine Outreach

Jamaica Jumagdao - Manila, The Philippines

My name is Jamaica Jumagdao and thanks to my sponsors in the UK, Uncle Ted and Auntie Gillian, I was able to be a Grapevine Outreach student as my father did not earn enough to support me, my 3 brothers and my mother.

As a student I was trained to be a better person not just with words but in actions. my self-esteem was increased and I was encouraged to do more

I was a Grapevine Outreach student until I graduated from university in 2014 with a BA in Human Resource Developent Management.

Today I work for a large distribution company in the Philippines as a Human Resources Associate. I help with recruitment and training and I can now fight for employees’ right and their grievances. I am proud to be one of the essential parts of the organization I am with.

The Grapevine Outreach programme is for students who remain living with family, but without help could end up working on the dump at Payatas.

Donate now, we are supporting poor Filipino children and families in Manila, Philippines.
